THURSDAY MAY 12, 2005

7:05 AM- ITS NICE TO STILL GET SOME SLOW RAIN TODAY. MY COLD TOOK A TURN TO THE
BAD YESTERDAY. I WORKED OUTSIDE IN THE GARAGE FOR A COUPLE OF HOURS AND
CAME BACK IN. THEN IN THE AFTERNOON I STARTED TO COUGHING AND GOT THE
SORE THROAT BACK. ITS A HOT TEA / HONEY MORNING. THE DIET IS GOING REAL
GOOD.


BOB/JUDY - LEWIS AND CLARK TRAIL REPORT --- TUESDAY MAY 10TH.

THE CORPS OF DISCOVERY SPENT THE WINTER OF 1804-05 PEACEFULLY WITH THE
KNIFE RIVER INDIAN VILLAGE IN WHAT IS NOT NORTH DAKOTA. THEY BUILT FORT
MANDAN TO WAIT OUT THE WINTER SNOW AND COLD AND TO PREPARE FOR THE
RIGOROUS TRIP AHEAD INTO THE UNKNOWN.THEY WERE NOW GOING ONLY WHERE
INDIANS HAD GONE BEFORE. WE TOURED THE RECONSTRUTED FORT, AN EXCELLENT
NEW MUSEUM, AND THE KNIFE RIVER INDIAN VILLAGE NATIONAL HISTORIC SITE.

WE DROVE ON TO WILLISTON ON THE BORDER OF MONTANA. FOR YOU BASKETBALL
FANS, THIS IS THE HOME OF PHIL JACKSON ( X-COACH OF THE BULLS ). THE
HIGH SCHOOL FIELDHOUSE IS NAMED AFTER HIM. ITS GETTING UNSEASONABLY
COLDER. SNOW IS PREDICTED FOR WEDNESDAY.

TO SOME VERY GOOD FRIENDS IN TENN WESLEY AND JACKIE, ALSO AL/RUTH IN
NEW MEXICO.
