8:00 AM- WELL, WE FINALLY GOT SOME RAIN. I'M SURE WE CAN USE SOME MORE. HAD A
NICE TIEM WITH WAYNE WATKINS THIS MORNING FOR BREAKFAST AT LOU'S GRILL
IN FOREST PARK.

UPDATE ON BOB/JUDY ( LEWIS AND CLARK TRIP ) MONDAY MAY 9

FIRST THING THIS MORNING WE WENT TO THE SOUTH DAKATA STATE MUSEUM IN
THE CAPITOL COMPLEX. IT HAS ON DISPLAY A ORIGINAL NINETY THOMAS
JEFFERSON FRIENDSHIP COINS TAHT WERE GIVEN OUT AS GIFTS TO THE
INDIANS. IT WAS FOUND BY A EARLY FARMER NEAR THE RIVER INMOBRIDGE IN
1834, THIRTY YEARS AFTER THE EXPLORERS PASSED UP RIVER. IT WAS GIVEN
TO THE STATE MUSEUMBY HIS DESCENDENTS. I WAS IMPRESSED AND BOUGHT A
REPLICA. WE DROVE NORTH ALONG THE RIVER TO BISMARK STOPPING TO SEE THE
GRAVE SITE OF SITTING BULL AND MONUMENT HONORING SACAJAWEA WHO DIED
NEARBY A FEW YEARS AFTER THE EXPEDITION. SHE WAS SO VITAL TO THE
SUCCESS OF THE EXPEDITION. THE RIVER WATER IS VERY LOW. MANU SANDBARS
EXPOSED IT WULD BE HARD TO BRING ANY DRAFT DRAWING BOAT DODWN THE RIVER
UNDER THESE CONDITIONS.

8:30 AM - SHOUT OUT TO - GREG, MARGO AND FAMILY AND ALL PASTORS AT CALVARY
MEMORIAL CHURCH AND STAFF WORKERS.
